Kim Grice
Associate Minister
Rev. Kim M. Grice serves as an Associate Pastor at Covenant United Church of Christ in South Holland, Illinois. Her passion for serving God’s people comes from her love of people.
Rev. Kim is a native of a South Suburb of Chicago, Illinois, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and Paralegal Studies Certificate from Roosevelt University with a concentration in Intellectual Property, and a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law from Loyola Law School. For nearly 15 years, she worked in Chicago Law Firms concentrating on Property Tax Appeal, Commercial, Industrial and Residential Law before starting a career in Illinois State Government and Education Law with a focus on Investigations.
Rev. Kim’s call to ministry led her to begin her ministerial education and complete it at Chicago Theological Seminary in Chicago Illinois where she received the Master of Divinity degree. She was ordained by the Chicago Metropolitan Association of the United Church of Christ. She currently serves as the Membership Ministry Liasion.
Rev. Kim has served in many capacities at Covenant United Church of Christ and is always excited about opportunities to advance the Kingdom of God through connection of people and ministry and by teaching.
Rev. Kim enjoys reading, writing, traveling, cooking and decorating.
Rev. Kim’s daily affirmation is to “make prayer a first response and not a last resort”. Her favorite scripture comes from Jeremiah 29:11-13 (The Message) - "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me you will find me, when you seek me with all your heart"
